Over the last 25 years, Milan Enterprises has been in the book and commercial printing business. The company is located on Ansari Road in Daryaganj, a book publishing hub in the capital city. ‘Since we engage in the book printing business for years, we diversified our activity into a new vertical when we started to indulge in on-demand book printing. We rebranded ourselves as Milan Digital Print for the new activity,’ said Jeet Lal Kushwaha, proprietor, Milan Enterprises.  

 

He added: ‘On-demand book printing is gaining ground these days and it’s now our main forte in business. Unlike the old days, book printing has the advantage of producing only a few copies as per the requirement of authors or publishers. In this, our two new Ricoh digital presses from Monotech Systems do the right job in printing as minimum as 100 copies of a book title.’  

 

Milan Enterprises adopted the Ricoh Pro 8300S with complete finishing units first, followed by the Ricoh Pro 5310S. 

 

‘Ricoh Pro 8300S is a black and white production printer with which we print inside pages of books. Then we adopted the Ricoh Pro 5310S color production press, especially for book covers and other commercial printing,’ mentioned Kushwaha. The company earlier used a Konica Minolta bizhub Press C6000 now been replaced by the new Ricoh digital presses from Monotech Systems.  

 

Ricoh Pro 8300S can print at the speed of 96ppm, taking up to 350 GSM of paper. Milan Enterprises intends to produce on-demand copies of books with this press.  

 

Likewise, Ricoh Pro C5310S delivers colors prints at 80ppm in 360 GSM, compatibly handling up to 13x19.2in paper size, suitable for book covers. ‘In addition to printing colorful book covers, this press is perfect for producing a wide range of commercial prints such as newsletters, cards and brochures,’ mentioned Kushwaha.  

 

Milan Enterprises works with publishers to provide on-demand book titles including Prabhat Prakashan, Rajkamal Prakashan, and Dreamtech Press.  

 

‘We value the way Monotech Systems co-operates with us to deliver the two highly versatile digital presses. Sooner or later, we will be chalking out a plan to invest in another advanced press from them,’ informed Kushwaha.
